Pratispardha-The Annual Sports Day 2016-17

Mount Litera Zee School ignited and invigorated the physical and emotional senses of the students on 13th January 2017 by celebrating its Annual Sports Day – Pratispardha 2016-17 which invoked the spirit of sportsmanship, excitement frolic and fervour in the whole atmosphere. This mega event witnessed the participation of jubiliant hearts right from class Jr.KG to XII in different thrilling events.

This auspicious occasion was graced by the eminent chairman Mr. Pradeep Bisnoi, Chairperson Ms. Laxmi Rai, CEO Ms. Anjana Deva and Vice-Principal Ms. Sumita Thapar. The CEO of the school emphasized the vitality of sports and games in student’s life which showcase the spirit of sportsmanship and groom the personality with radiant confidence.

The celebrations began with the lighting of the Sports Torch, followed by march past by all the four houses viz. Mahatma Gandhi, Da Vinci, Einstein and Christopher Columbus followed by the oath taking ceremony.

The students displayed a wide array of reverberant and exhilarating events. The spectators were elated with the zeal and energy of the tiny tots participating in 60 mts sprint, umbrella race, frog race, three legged race and spoon race whereas the shot put, volleyball, football and relay races of the middle and senior categories left every heart with extra dose of ecstasy. The Karate demonstration and teachers games were enjoyed equally with gaiety.

The felicitation of the winners of all events were done by the CEO with trophies, medals and certificates. Ishita Mishra and Sheshnath Pal in the junior category as well as Varsha Patel and Niteshwar Rai in the senior category were awarded with the trophy for ‘The Best Athletes’ of the year.

The Columbus house was honoured with the House Championship Trophy Winner.

MLZS conveyed its gratitude to everyone for their commendable effort to make the event a grand success and ensured for many more exciting sports events every year, thereby producing ardent athletes for the nation.
